First game was very close, and both sides tried to take control at the net. In the beginning, it was the Danes who won that game and was in the lead 11-8 at the break. Hereafter the Chinese double got some momentum and soon the match was tight again. They followed each other all the way until 19-19 were Han and Zhou with a little luck won two points in a row and took home the first game.

– We have the lead 19-18 in the first game. If we had won that, I think it would have been a different game and they would have lost their faith. Generally, I am happy with our performance in the first game, obviously not the result, Conrad said after the match.

The second game began where the first one ended and the close affair continued. However, Boe and Conrad seemed to struggle a bit more and in the middle of the game Han and Zhou took the lead 9-13. The Danes made a strong comeback and especially Conrad stepped up and turned it around. Like the first game, it then went back and forward until the Danish double froze at 16, which led to the third time being the lucky number for Han and Zhou as they took home the win.

– Today we don’t play as well as in the two previous matches. We are a little too unsecure and none of us really could serve well, Conrad also explained.
