The draw for the VICTOR Denmark Open 2025 in Odense (14–19 October) has set up a thrilling week of world-class badminton, with several top names facing tough early tests.

In men’s singles, top seed Shi Yu Qi (CHN) leads the field, while home favourite Viktor Axelsen have a tough draw in the first round. He’ll meet Chou Tien Chen (TPE) [5]. Defending champion Anders Antonsen [2] is in the bottom half and will face Indonesia’s Anthony Ginting in a potential early blockbuster.

In women’s singles, world No. 1 An Se Young (KOR) opens against Spain’s Clara Azurmendi. Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt meets Japan’s Riko Gunji, while Line Christophersen and Line Kjærsfeldt face each other in a first-round all-Danish clash.

The men’s doubles features local hopes Kim Astrup / Anders Skaarup Rasmussen [4], who begin against China’s Chiu Hsiang Chieh/ Wang Chi-Lin. Top seeds Kim Won Ho / Seo Seung Jae (KOR) will play Danish youngsters William Kryger Boe / Christian Faust Kjaer in their first match. The home crowd will be looking for a sensational upset from the young Danes.

In mixed doubles, Mathias Christiansen / Alexandra Bøje aim for a deep home run but are in a tough half that includes top seeds Jiang Zhen Bang / Wei Ya Xin (CHN).
